Tim’s A/C is owned by Tim & Diana Pfieffer. Tim has been in the HVAC industry since his early adulthood in Illinois. He discovered his aptitude for HVAC work and a personal gratification from serving people. He moved his family to Utopia in 2001 and has enjoyed participating as a volunteer in the Utopia Fire Department and Utopia EMS, as well as his church. The Pfieffers homeschooled their 3 children and participated in church and community activities. In late 2010, Tim started his own business part-time and began Tim’s A/C officially January 1, 2011. With the support of countless people in the Sabinal and Frio Canyons, Tim’s A/C has continued to flourish.
Our office staff include Ashley Dickerson and Diana Pfieffer. Our technical employees include Tim Pfieffer (34 years of HVAC experience), Jim Cantrell (35 years of HVAC experience), Ryan Rohm, and Gage Gutierrez. Mariah, the youngest Pfieffer, is a tech helper when she is home for the summer.
Our commitment to personal integrity and technical excellence are our hallmarks. We enjoy serving in local schools, government buildings, churches, and homes. Our best references are our customers. Please feel free to check out our Google listing for reviews.
We at Tim’s A/C hope to help combat our society’s “dysfunctional relationship with work”. As Mike Rowe says, we would like to “challenge the persistent belief that a 4-year degree is automatically the best path for most people.”
At Tim’s A/C we wish to encourage young people with skills and aptitude in the trades by helping them to pursue training in their chosen field. In this small way, we hope to help diminish the “skills gap” in our country.
The purpose of the scholarship fund is to defer training costs for these young people. The young man we selected this year (2018) has very wisely chosen to train in the electrical trade as a means of supporting himself while obtaining a business associates degree.
He will be able to use this award in obtaining his electrician apprentice license and in traveling to train with a master electrician. Congratulations, Devin Bohannan, on receiving Tim’s A/C Trade & Artisan Scholarship Award.
Tim Pfieffer, a long-time member of the UVFD since he moved to the area in 2001, received the gift from the senior class of Utopia High School, represented by Jayda Martinez. He enjoys the camaraderie with other service-minded individuals in the community, as well as the opportunity to serve those in crisis situations. Two of his 3 children have also served on UVFD. Jesse (27) went from being a volunteer fireman, beginning at age 12, to being volunteer EMS, to training to become a full-time firefighter/paramedic for Bulverde/Spring Branch Fire Dept. Mariah (19) has been a “junior” firefighter since she was about 13, but is gone most of the year to attend college, serving when she is home in Utopia.
